6 Phases of Partial Denture Service
Partial denture service is divided into 6 phases. These phases are:
1. Patient education.
2. Diagnosis, treatment planning, design, treatments sequencing and mouth preparation.
3. Support for distal extension denture bases
4. Establishment and verification of harmonious occlusal relationships and tooth relationships with opposing and remaining natural teeth.
5. Initial placemnt procedures. This includes adjustment to the contours and bearing surfaces of denture bases, adjustments to ensure occlusal harmony and a review of instructions given the patient to optimally maintain oral structures and provided restorations.
6. Periodic recall, or follow-up services.
